In California, do I need to send paper copies of 1099-Misc forms to the state?

I’ve prepared the 1099-MISC forms for my independent contractors (this is my first year having them in my business). I know a copy goes to the IRS, but I can’t find anything about sending the paper copies to the state (California). Any insight? I’m thinking maybe California gets their information directly from the IRS?
