If you know any cities in California that have beaches, please tell me. Or, if you know a little bit about a city in California that’s a nice vacation spot, please let me know. Thank you!

For my money the best beaches here in Cali are in Oxnard, Ventura, and Malibu. Surprisingly enough in that order.

Anything on the coast:). Big ones are San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, San Luis Obispo, Newport Beach. San Diego is a great place; great beach and lots of things to do. You can spend a lot or a little. Frisco and Newport are a little pricey. Just do a search on beach cities in California and you should get plenty of good sites to check out.

Here is a list for Southern California-
San Diego, San Clemente, Laguna Beach, Corona Del Mar, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Sunset Beach, Seal Beach, Long Beach, Malibu
The best for vacation in my opinion is Huntington or Newport since there are lots of hotels and they are in the middle of LA and San Diego. So you could drive to either in about an hour. (not that you need to, there is so much to do in thosee cities alone.)

Santa Cruz is my absolute favorite place to go to the beach in Northern (Central really) California. Santa Monica Beach in Los Angeles is awesome too. The beaches near San Diego are excellent, and the water is pretty warm in the heat of August, for the Pacific anyway.
I’ve never been to Venice Beach, Long Beach, Huntington Beach, or Laguna Beach though. I’m sure those would be fantastic too. Google all of them and find out!
Huntington Beach and Santa Cruz are the best for surfing by the way.

Keep in mind beaches in Northern California (Half Moon, Santa Cruz, etc) are much colder than those in Southern California. So for lounging and playing in the water, I prefer LA beaches.
Santa Cruz and Carmel are more scenic. Santa Cruz has a national park. In Carmel, the red woods go right up to the beach and it’s beautiful.
