San Francisco is what I recommend most highly.

Detroit is a good recommendation to stay away from.

I found tons of things to do in San Francisco, also would recommend Seattle in the summer.

Recommend: Savannah, Georgia - beautiful weather! Chock full of history and off beat, funky legends about previous denizens [pirates, witches and the like]; live oak trees dripping with Spanish Moss; great eating; The South at its very best!11 Plus a beach nearby

    Least Recommended: Pittsburgh, PA

Chicago!!!, but I am a little biased b/c I live there. But if they come to Chicago, make sure it is during the summer. Preferrably during one of the music festivals (Blues or Jazz fest) or a home Cubs game (this is the year!!!!!). They will have a blast. Otherwise, I would recommend either New York or Vegas. You can’t go wrong with those Cities.

San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, San Diego, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Atlanta, and New York are all good cities.

The answer depends on how long they are here. It’s a pretty big country so if they are staying on the east coast, New York, Atlanta, and Washington DC< but if they are going out west, then San Diego, San Francisco, or even Los Angeles. Also Yosemite National Park is amazing.

No matter which city you choose, stay for at least 2 or 3 days in each one. At the bare minimum.

    Have fun!

Chicago, hands down. It might be because I’ve been born and raised in the burbs of Chicago, but it has everything: music, food, museums, a great nightlife, businesses, great colleges, festivals!!, and everything else you will ever need.

My second place would be Washington DC, because it is amazing. A great nightlife, politicians around every corner, more happy hours than you can count, museums that are free, great public transportation, good food, etc. Again, I might be biased because I lived there for awhile.

Yeah Detroit is not the best place ever, but a lot of the town outside of there are great. If you want a good Michigan city, try Grand Rapids, it’s now the largest city in MI and it is pretty rockin for a small city.
