I think the possibility of a Cancun race is getting slimmer and slimmer. Last I heard the financing for building the track had fallen through. Now with races in Singapore and Valencia, Spain and with talks of races possibly being held in India and maybe even Russia, there just might not be room on the F1 calendar for Cancun.

That would be cool. I don’t know if it’s the easiest place for the teams logistically and for safety. I hear there are lots of bandidos in mexico..

There was talk of this happening a couple of years ago, but nothing seems to have come of it. Bernie has found other places to put races for now. Too bad, because North America (and neighbours) need more races.
Having one in Mexico again might help save Canada from the thing that will surely come next… which is the whine that it is not worth coming to Montreal when it is the only stop in North America.

Problems with the land has being the major issue so for, to be honest I don’t think It will take place, the competition in Asia is to hard and with so much money. There are no bandidos in Cancún, you should go there and see that is one of the most beautiful and safety places in Mexico, and of course to have party all night.
